How Sunrero built a sales-led acquisition foundation for hospitality SaaS.
Venture Compass helped Sunrero move beyond generic lead generation by combining paid demand creation, lead capture, and a separate book-a-call funnel for higher-intent resort, hotel, and beach-operator buyers.
Sunrero is an online reservation platform for sunbeds, beach zones, and VIP cabanas. The product is built for hospitality and leisure operators, from small beach bars to larger resorts, hotels, aquaparks, and complexes that need a cleaner way to manage guest reservations, reduce operational chaos, and increase revenue from premium spaces.
For this kind of vertical SaaS, paid acquisition cannot be treated like a generic self-serve signup campaign. Sunrero is sales-led. The highest-value buyers often need to understand the operational and revenue impact before they are ready to speak with the team.
The challenge
Sunrero solves a real-world hospitality problem: guest conflicts, towel reservations, staff workload, unclear availability, and missed revenue from unmanaged sunbed or cabana inventory.
But the market does not behave like a broad software category. A beach club, resort, or hotel operator may feel the pain every day without searching for “sunbed SaaS.” The acquisition system had to name the problem first, then give buyers a credible path to evaluate the product.
That meant the goal was not only traffic. It was market education, demand capture, and a clearer route into sales conversations.
What Venture Compass built
Demand creation for a niche category
The messaging connected Sunrero to operational problems hospitality teams already understand: reservation chaos, guest disputes, premium-zone monetization, and staff time.
Lead capture campaigns
The lead-generation layer tested reachable demand and gave Sunrero measurable market response from paid social without depending only on cold website traffic.
Separate book-a-call funnel
Venture Compass built a dedicated path for higher-intent buyers who needed to understand the product’s operational and revenue impact before speaking with sales.
Sales-led framing
The campaign architecture matched Sunrero’s SLG motion. It treated the funnel as a sales asset, not just a short-term ad test.
The results
Across the measured export, excluding the campaign named “Sunrero (Creative Testing),” the acquisition system produced measurable lead demand and a dedicated higher-intent funnel path.
| Layer | Result | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Lead-generation layer | 33 lead events at €18.65 each | Created a first measurable demand-capture layer for a niche vertical SaaS. |
| Strongest lead campaign | 24 lead events at €15.05 each | Showed which paid-social path could produce the clearest lead signal. |
| Revenue-led funnel | 529 landing page views at €0.84 each | Built a separate evaluation path for higher-intent buyers in a sales-led motion. |
| Non-creative-testing campaigns | 164,700 impressions and 1,355 link clicks | Gave Sunrero market exposure and traffic into the acquisition system beyond creative testing. |
Campaign breakdown
Lead capture layer
| Campaign | Lead events | Spend | Cost per lead event |
|---|---|---|---|
| [SaasLab] Sunrero #1 | 24 | €361.26 | €15.05 |
| Sunrero Forms 30.04 | 6 | €163.56 | €27.26 |
| [SaasLab] Sunrero #1 FIX | 3 | €90.61 | €30.20 |
Total lead-generation result: 33 lead events from €615.43 in spend, at an average cost of €18.65 per lead event.
Book-a-call funnel layer
The separate revenue-led funnel was created to support Sunrero’s sales-led acquisition motion. It produced 612 link clicks, 529 landing page views, €0.73 cost per link click, and €0.84 cost per landing page view from €446.33 in spend.
We do not claim booked calls from this export because the campaign data did not include booking completions. The verified claim is that Venture Compass built the separate funnel and drove qualified traffic into that evaluation path.
Why this mattered
For a sales-led SaaS, a lead form and a booked-call funnel do different jobs.
A lead form captures early interest. A book-a-call funnel gives more serious buyers a route to understand implementation, revenue impact, guest experience, and operational change before entering a sales conversation.
Sunrero needed both. Venture Compass helped build the foundation: paid demand creation, lead capture, and a dedicated path for higher-intent prospects.
The bigger commercial insight
Sunrero is solving a revenue and operations problem, not a minor convenience problem. Better reservation management can affect staff workload, guest satisfaction, premium-zone monetization, upsells, and operational control.
That is why the case study should be read as an acquisition foundation for a niche sales-led SaaS, not as a simple lead-generation campaign.
